For their seventh location, Ringo Studio was commissioned to reimagine the retail identity of the iconic floral brand Venus et Fleur. The new aesthetic was inspired by the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and enduring elegance. Centered around principles of permanence and heirloom quality, the design for the Houston outpost is defined by refined materials, balanced symmetry, and references to romantic, classical architecture, all carefully curated to enhance the vibrancy of the florals and spotlight their lasting beauty.
The entrance, adorned with a pistachio limewash, acts as a gateway into the brand’s universe, creating a sense of anticipation as it frames the main retail floor. The central space is surrounded by arched niches, echoing the rhythmic cadence of a serene cloister, displaying the brand’s exquisite collection of florals and vessels in an array of hues. The journey culminates in a captivating moment at the back of the store: a content room where larger-than-life floral sculptures and custom rose-patterned curtains immerse visitors in the world of Venus et Fleur, evoking the enchanting ambiance of a romantic, oversized rose garden.
